Bridges across Trumbull to be tested for load tolerances
WARREN — Six companies have been approved by Trumbull County commissioners to receive contracts to do load ratings on 94 bridges across Trumbull County.
The combined contracts have a value of $233,453.

$24M in Butler County road projects on track; nearly 38 miles of roads being repaved
It’s orange barrel season in Butler County but County Engineer Greg Wilkens said while there will be some minor inconveniences the driving public shouldn’t get too frustrated.
Wilkens is spending roughly $24.4 million this construction season to fix 14 bridges and 22 culverts, repave 37.4 miles of county roads, install a new roundabout and other road maintenance.

Engineer defends roundabouts as safer option for Holmes County intersections near Berlin
After listening to the commissioners express opposition to the proposed roundabouts to alleviate traffic congestion on U.S. Route 62 and state Routes 39 and 557, Holmes County Engineer Chris Young expressed his reasoning for going with roundabouts, which simply put, are safer than any of the alternatives.
In a meeting last week, the Holmes County commissioners shared their feelings, along with those of the owner of a local trucking company, as well as the chief of the East Holmes Fire & EMS.

PAULDING — With 32 years experience, new Paulding County Engineer Scott Strahley brings a lot to the position.
And he plans to use that experience to the best of his ability.
