Dear Members,
This is a friendly reminder that OSHA requires covered employers to post their OSHA Form 300A (Summary of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses) no later than February 1.
If you have not already done so, please be sure to complete and display your Form 300A in a visible location for employees to review. Posting this form by the deadline is required to remain in compliance.
Electronic Submission to OSHA (Applies to Certain Employers)
Some employers are also required to submit their injury and illness data electronically through OSHA’s Injury Tracking Application (ITA).
Electronic submission is required if your company:
✔️ Had 250+ employees at any time during the year
OR
✔️ Had 20–249 employees and operates in certain high-risk industries
There is also a third group covered under OSHA’s recordkeeping rules. This includes employers who had 100 or more employees in the previous year and whose industry is listed in Subpart E, Appendix B of OSHA Standard 1904. While most construction companies are not included, some related industries—such as construction equipment manufacturing or materials production—may fall into this category. To determine if you are on this list go to the OSHA website, www.osha.gov and click on the standards dropdown menu for regulations. From here go to record keeping and then go to Appendix B in standard 1904.
