George Mostardini has been a proud member of I.B.E.W. Local 134 for 25 years. He has had the epitome of an up the ladder career, beginning with a 5-year apprenticeship, then working his way from journeyman wireman to foreman to general foreman to superintendent, all the way to nearly owning his own electrical contractor business prior to becoming a business representative for I.B.E.W. Local 134. George has been a part-time instructor at Local 134’s apprentice facility, but also as an adjunct instructor for Illinois I.B.E.W. Renewable Energy Fund’s renewable energy technology program partnered with Triton Community College. George was responsible for the complete 16-week curriculum development for Triton Community Colleges REN 130 National Electric Code and Grid Tie installations course as well as REN 230 Renewable Energy Systems: Operation and Maintenance. In addition to working full time for I.B.E.W Local 134 as a business representative, George also has the humbling privilege of representing Local 134 on the National Electrical Code Making Panel, NFPA 915 TC, NFPA (CEST) Advisory Board, as well as numerous UL Technical Committees.
