On behalf of the Electrical Contractors' Association of City of Chicago (ECA) and the Northeastern IL Chapter, NECA Safety Committees, a Joint Safety Forum called, "Understanding NFPA 70B Standard for Electrical Equipment Maintenance" will be held on Friday, October 23, 2026 from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at the IBEW-NECA Technical Institute (INTECH). Local #134 IBEW Business Agent, George Mostardini will be the facilitator.

Understanding NFPA 70B Standard for Electrical Equipment Maintenance:

  • Understanding NFPA 70B: Learn what this standard is all about and its core purpose.

  • The NFPA Trilogy: Discover how NFPA 70B fits in with the NEC (NFPA 70) and Electrical Safety (NFPA 70E).

George Mastordini
Local #134 IBEW Business Representative

George Mostardini has been a proud member of I.B.E.W. Local 134 for 25 years. He has had the epitome of an up the ladder career, beginning with a 5-year apprenticeship, then working his way from journeyman wireman to foreman to general foreman to superintendent, all the way to nearly owning his own electrical contractor business prior to becoming a business representative for I.B.E.W. Local 134. George has been a part-time instructor at Local 134’s apprentice facility, but also as an adjunct instructor for Illinois I.B.E.W. Renewable Energy Fund’s renewable energy technology program partnered with Triton Community College. George was responsible for the complete 16-week curriculum development for Triton Community Colleges REN 130 National Electric Code and Grid Tie installations course as well as REN 230 Renewable Energy Systems: Operation and Maintenance. In addition to working full time for I.B.E.W Local 134 as a business representative, George also has the humbling privilege of representing Local 134 on the National Electrical Code Making Panel, NFPA 915 TC, NFPA (CEST) Advisory Board, as well as numerous UL Technical Committees.
