About the program: 

This session explores how to effectively serve international and cross-border clients, with a focus on avoiding common pitfalls and financial challenges. Participants will learn what cross-border financial planning entails, understand frequent issues in cross-border personal finance, and gain practical strategies for working competently with clients across borders.

About the speaker: 

Matt J. Goren, PhD, CFP® designs and delivers award-winning financial planning education, combining his teaching experience with best practices in online education, artificial intelligence, and organizational psychology. He is Chief Strategy Officer for the Brett Danko Education Center, co-founded the Global Financial Planning Institute, and mentors through FPA and AFS to advance financial planning education globally.

Previously, Matt held leadership roles at CeriFi, CFP Board, and The American College of Financial Services, taught personal finance at the University of Georgia, and created the NPR show Nothing Funny About Money. He holds a Ph.D. in social psychology from UC Berkeley, an MS from the University of Georgia, and a BS from the University of Florida.

Free parking is available on the paved lot outside of the Fawcett center.
Parking passes are now digital! Detailed parking instructions will be sent via email to registered guests in the days leading up to the event.

Continuing Education:
FPA Central Ohio will apply for 1 hour of CFP credit and 1 hour of OH INS credit. Please arrive on time to ensure that you can sign in for CE credits.

**Student Non-Members - Students may attend up to 2 programs for free. For your first or second visit, contact admin@fpacentralohio.org to complete your complimentary registration. Payments are non-refundable. A valid student ID is required at check-in.
