The presenter will provide participants with an update on the long-term care insurance industry and provide an overview of ways to protect a client’s wealth from depletion due to an extended health care event. This presentation will include information on the following: current carriers and why some have left the industry, types of products available to protect against the risk of an extended health care event, underwriting guidelines, and how to counsel clients on this risk and options for transferring to an insurance company.
