Moment One: Small Choices That Quietly Build a Life

Dirk Beveridge

A life gets built in small, ordinary moments, most of them so quick that we never notice we are choosing anything at all. It is there in the alarm in the dark, the five spare minutes in the afternoon, the true thing almost held back. Dirk calls the honest choice inside those moments a plus one, and in this session he takes the audience inside his own reckoning and hands them the practice that came out of it. Participants leave having made one real decision about their own life, with a method simple enough to use before the day is over.

Dirk Beveridge spent forty years inside American business, and four of those years on the road, 54,000 miles in an RV, meeting thousands of people across distribution and listening closely to what they carried. At the lowest point of his own life, early one morning in a Denver parking lot, he made one small honest choice and began to find his way back. The practice that grew out of that morning is what he teaches today in his signature keynote, Moment One.

He is the founder of The Fully Alive Movement and of We Supply America, the tour that has spent years telling the story of the people who keep this industry running. His book, Honor Yourself, arrives in March 2027.

He does the work himself, every day. A standing weekly call with a philosopher he met in Athens, more than seventy conversations deep. A morning journaling habit he credits with saving his life. Years spent with the thinkers who gave their lives to how to live well.
