Suspect remains at large after investigation opened into KC bank robbery

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - One suspect remains at large after the FBI opened an investigation into a morning bank robbery in Kansas City.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation says that around 11:45 a.m. on Wednesday, May 15, law enforcement officials were called to the U.S. Bank at 6161 NW Barry Rd. in Kansas City, Mo., with reports of a robbery.

When first responders arrived, they found the suspect had given a teller a demand note but never displayed a weapon. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

The Bureau has described the suspect as a lone black male in his 30s who stood at about 6 ft. tall with a thin build. He had been wearing a black stocking cap, a blue surgical mask, a black hoodie and dark navy pants.
