MILWAUKEE - The so-called "don" of a crime ring accused of robbing mail carriers in Milwaukee County and washing checks signaled his intent to plead guilty to federal charges.
Wisconsin prosecutors charged 14 members of a so-called "Scamily" with racketeering a year ago. Federal prosecutors already charged eight of those men, and many of them are already serving prison time.

Between October 2022 and April 2023, mail from around 50 mailboxes was stolen from Shorewood and Milwaukee's northeast side. Court filings said the "Scamily" robbed mail carriers at gunpoint and used stolen keys to get into the mailboxes.
