Authorities have identified the man shot by Covington police during an armed bank robbery Friday afternoon.
Kentucky State Police said 62-year-old Charles Davis, of Covington, was shot by city officers after being seen fleeing the U.S. Bank on the 600 block of Madison Avenue while armed with a weapon, according to a news release.
Covington police officers were on the lookout for a man matching Davis' description after learning a robbery had taken place around 3 p.m. and found him less than a block from the bank shortly thereafter, the department said in a news release.
