A Sterling man was arrested in conjunction with a bank robbery in Morrison.
According to a release from the Morrison Police Department, police responded to a report of a bank robbery at Community State Bank on July 5 at 10:47 a.m. According to police records, a suspect handed a note to a teller and demanded money. The teller gave him money, and the suspect escaped before officers arrived.
After investigating the robbery, Morrison Police arrested Ryan Hicks, 37. Hicks was arrested for aggravated robbery, Class 1 felony, and burglary, Class 2 felony. Hicks was taken to the Whiteside County Jail. Hicks may have additional charges pending.
