CLEVELAND (WJW) – A Cleveland man who investigators said “terrorized” a Chase Bank employee during an armed robbery last year was sentenced to prison.
Joel Alonte Travis, 21, was sentenced to 12 years in prison after a federal jury found him guilty of armed bank robbery and using a firearm during a violent crime, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Ohio announced on Friday.
He was also ordered to three years of “supervised release after imprisonment” and must pay more than $112,000 in restitution.
