CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — The Champaign Police Department is still investigating a bank robbery that happened two weeks ago, and officials are once again asking the public for help in solving the case.
The robbery happened at Clock Tower Community Bank, which is located at 1001 South Neil Street, the morning of Sept. 24. Champaign Police said that just after 11 a.m., a man walked into the bank and damaged security glass while demanding money and threatening staff. He was given an undisclosed amount of money, and he left.
No one was hurt, and police said there was no evidence that a gun was shown to staff or fired during the robbery.
