Police say two suspects are in custody after an armed robbery involving a Loomis money-delivery truck Wednesday afternoon, Deputy Chief Charlie Hill said.
At around 2:20 p.m. Wednesday, an unknown black male approached the driver of a Loomis armored truck with a firearm at Cadence Bank on Indiana Avenue, subsequently taking two bags of cash, Hill said.
The suspect, identified as Shaquille Lewis, 31, and Ladedricia Roitrice Thomas, 34, fled the scene heading eastbound on I-20. Mississippi Highway Patrol and Warren County Sheriff's deputies were able to successfully stop the vehicle in Hinds County near the 38 mile marker.
