A man is in custody after a stabbing at a bank in River Falls Tuesday.

River Falls Police there were called to the First National Bank on Locust Street, on a report that a male attempted to steal money and stabbed a bank employee with a knife.

A short time later the suspect was spotted driving, then swerving into oncoming traffic, hitting a River Falls Police Department unmarked parking enforcement vehicle.

He then ran away but was caught a short time later.

The parking enforcement officer was not seriously hurt.

The bank employee was taken to a hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.
