Residents in Lakewood Ranch, Florida say their mail has continued to be compromised over three months after first reporting the issue.
Homeowners in the Tampa Bay area say that their checks have been stolen, altered, and cashed.
One resident, Cindy Garrubbo, said she was told by her bank that a refund check she was expecting from her auto insurance company for $664 had already been cashed out.
“They informed me that the check was cashed. I did not receive it. I asked for a copy of the check and lo and behold it was someone else’s signature,” Garrubbo told ABC affiliate WWSB.
