| Jobdescription | Raccoon Valley Radio is seeking a motivated and community-focused News & Sports Broadcaster to expand our local news and sports coverage in Guthrie County. This position offers a unique opportunity to be a key voice in a close-knit community — truly a “big fish in a small pond.” You will play an essential role in delivering trusted local news, covering area sports, and providing play-by-play broadcasts that residents depend on. Responsibilities: Gather, write, and deliver local news stories for on-air and digital platforms. Cover local government meetings, community events, and breaking news. Provide sports reporting, including high school athletics coverage. Perform live play-by-play broadcasts. Develop relationships with community leaders, coaches, and local organizations. Maintain professional broadcast standards and meet deadlines. Qualifications: Strong on-air delivery and writing skills. Knowledge of broadcast journalism principles. Passion for local news and high school sports. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Experience in radio broadcasting, journalism, or a related field preferred.
