More Than A Job, A Calling

Funeral service has a rich history built on unselfishly caring for those in need with compassion and respect.

Our communities have for generations respected the work that we do, but we live in different times now. People are questioning why they need us, what is our value, and is there an alternative to what we offer?

In the past, we let our steadfast and dedicated work speak for itself; no fanfare, no ego, no expectations beyond being trusted as the professional when the time called for it.  

As a community of caregivers, we must rise to this new challenge of educating and re-educating on why we honor our dead, why this end of life experience is important to the living, and why funerals matter!

As an association, we have committed to lead from the frontend and created a narrative to turn outward to our communities. The link below is the first chapter, told through the eyes of those we serve.  

We encourage you to place this short film on your website and to use it in your communities to help explain what we do and why it’s important. There is no cost to use it and no restrictions other than to present it in your community as a way to shine a positive light on funeral service.
