I was born in Pennville, Indiana and grew up on my family's farm. After high school, I attended Purdue University where I received degrees in Aerospace Engineering. I spent the next 15 years working in the aerospace and defense industry at Lockheed Martin and Rolls Royce Aerospace. My wife Ashley and I married in 2011 and spent the next few years living in the Fort Worth, Texas area. In 2013, we moved to the Greenfield area to be closer to family. We currently reside in rural Hancock county with our son, Harrison. At the start of 2024, Ashley and I became owners of Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield, Indiana where she had worked as the administrative manager. I have since transitioned full time into helping her run the business.
I am a man of many hobbies and interests (too many if you ask Ashley!) and enjoy learning new skills and gaining new knowledge. The move into the funeral home business has been a fulfilling and rewarding journey so far. I look forward to gaining perspective from the other board members and contributing my skill set where I am able.
