Director of Nursing, Tsao Foundation, Singapore
Fong is the Vice President of IHCNO and serves on the Executive Committee and Board of Directors. She is the Director of Nursing for Tsao-Foundation-Singapore.
She has 29 years of experience in community-based nursing for older persons, specializing mainly in home-based healthcare. She leads the development and implementation of the Tsao Foundation’s practitioner-to-practitioner courses in the Specialist diploma program in Community Gerontological Nursing. She was a committee member of the Ministry of Health Singapore for the development of the Community Nursing Competency Framework.
She graduated as a State Registered Nursing in 1985 and trained in Nursing Elderly People (Oxford School of Nursing, U.K.) and Ophthalmic Nursing (Wolverhampton Eye Infirmary, U.K.). She holds a Master in Gerontology (King’s College, London, U.K.) and obtained her Graduate diploma in Education from the University of Adelaide (South Australia), and Master of Arts in Counseling from the TCA college Singapore.
