Dr. Khairul Dzakirin Bin Rusli is a member of the Research Committee at the International Home Care Nursing Organization (IHCNO). Khairul serves as a Research Associate at Alice Lee Centre for Nursing Studies, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore (NUS). He defended his PhD at NUS and holds a BSc (Hons 1) in Nursing Practice from the University of Manchester.
Khairul’s research focuses on supporting and identifying nurses’ educational and competency needs in home-based care. He has experience and published in both qualitative and quantitative research methods, including descriptive phenomenology, scoping reviews, and psychometric evaluations for tool development.
Currently, Khairul is continuing his research in home-based nursing care and nursing education, with the goal of enhancing the support available for nurses and advancing care quality in home-based nursing. He is open for research collaboration opportunities. Khairul believes that IHCNO offers a vital platform for a global network of nurses to exchange ideas, generate opportunities and foster international collaborations to improve home-based care nursing worldwide.
