Request for Home Healthcare Nursing Book Chapter Manuscripts
From Susan Hinck: Marilyn Harris and I are seeking authors for chapters in an edited book to be published by Springer Nature in 2026. We recently submitted a proposal for a book about home healthcare nursing and the publisher described our proposal as promising, well-structured, and comprehensive. Marilyn and I will write some chapters, and we are seeking authors for additional chapters. We estimate there will be about 40 chapters of 8 to 12 pages each. Sections of the book will be as follows:
- Part 1: Introduction of home healthcare nursing as a specialty area of practice, definitions of terms, and the expansion of professional nursing provided in the home.
- Part 2: Overview of published concepts and frameworks describing and guiding home healthcare nursing practice.
- Part 3: Scope and standards, and related competencies, of home healthcare nursing practice.
- Part 4: Student Learning and Clinical Experiences
- Part 5: Promoting Clinical Excellence
- Part 6: Measuring and Improving Quality of Care
- Part 7: Technology in home healthcare nursing
- Part 8: International perspectives and nursing roles. Each chapter will follow a format and present a case study about home healthcare nursing in a different country, identifying a population, age groups, types of nursing practice, and resources.
- Part 9: Next Steps into the Future
Whether you are a published author or not, please consider what contribution you might make to this book. More information will be provided in the coming weeks.
