Lynn W. Newberry, DNP, RN, CEN, NE-BC
Education and Outreach Program Manager - American Nurses Credentialing Center, Silver Spring, MD
Dr. Newberry has been a nurse for over 30 years. She has worked as an emergency, ambulatory surgery and school nurse. During much of her career she has served in various leadership roles. As the Director of Professional Practice, she was instrumental in collaborating with nursing leaders and staff to achieve the Pathway to Excellence, and Magnet designation through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She developed and successfully ran a home-grown residency program for which received accreditation through the American Nurses Credentialing Center Practice Transition Accreditation Program. Through her outreach work with the ANCC, she has published and has presented key elements of nursing excellence that support the Magnet Model and Pathway to Excellence Framework. After practicing yoga for the past 10 years, Lynn recently received her 220-hour interdisciplinary Yoga Teacher Certificate. In addition to her work at the ANCC, Lynn teaches yoga at a community studio in Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina.
When she is not talking about nursing, Lynn loves to spend time with friends and family at her home in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. She is an avid sea glass collector and loves to upcycle and refinish furniture.
Mary Curry Narayan, PhD, APRN, HHCNS-BC, CTN-A
Editorial Board Member for: Home Healthcare Now and Home Health Care Management & Practice
Dr. Narayan received her BSN degree from Cornell University and MSN and PhD degrees from George Mason University. She is a Home Health Clinical Nurse Specialist and is certified as an Advanced Transcultural Nurse. Dr. Narayan has been a home healthcare nurse for over 40 years and has served as a clinician, case manager, team manager, educator, and clinical nurse specialist.
Dr. Narayan publishes and presents about home health nursing and cross-cultural care. She has authored multiple publications including book chapters, research articles, peer-reviewed articles, and CEU courses. She has presented at many conferences in the United States and internationally. She currently serves as an Editorial Board Member for two peer-reviewed journals: Home Healthcare Now and Home Health Care Management & Practice. Currently, she is co-chairing a committee to develop Home-Based Nursing: International Scope and Standards for Practice, which is a joint project of the American Nurses Association and the International Home Care Nurses Organization.
Kathy Duckett, MSN, RN
Director of Advanced Care at Home, Tufts Home Health Foundation
Duckett is responsible for higher acuity care and alternative care in the home involving telehealth, wound care, infusion and cardiac care within the Wellforce-wide INitiative in Cardiovascular Care (WINCC).
A seasoned speaker and author on a wide range of health-related topics, Duckett has more than 20 years of nursing and home care experience. Her previous position was chief clinical and compliance officer at CareGroup Parameter Home Care & Hospice in Watertown, where she had overall responsibility for the clinical and quality operations for home care and hospice.
Duckett holds a Master of Science in Nursing Innovation and Intra/Entrepreneurship in Advanced Nursing Practice from Drexel University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Michigan State University. She is an editorial board member of Home Healthcare Nurse, a member of the American Telemedicine Association and a member of the National Nurses in Business Association.
