Director of Marketing & Communications

Larry Farnsworth

Larry Farnsworth serves as the Director of Communications and Marketing for the Institute of Makers of Explosives. Joining IME in the spring of 2023, Farnsworth is the first person to serve in this role at IME.

Prior to IME, Farnsworth owned and operated a boutique public affairs firm and worked in a variety of industries including agriculture, pyrotechnics, health care, technology, and public safety. Farnsworth began his career on Capitol Hill eventually joining the Office of the Speaker of the House where he served as Deputy Press Secretary and Speech Writer. He also served as a senior aide for a House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee Chairman.

Farnworth is a native of Clovis, CA and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University, Fresno.
