This session is part of a 8-week webinar series emphasizes skill building for the Post-Acute Care Infection Preventionist with a focus on establishing and managing an effective IPC program in the SNF/LTC/AL setting. This session will discuss the importance of antibiotic stewardship in nursing facilities.

Projected Learning Outcomes/Course Objectives: At the conclusion of each session, the learner will:

1. Define antibiotic stewardship and its importance in nursing facilities

2. Describe the core elements of antibiotic stewardship

3. Identify strategies for implementing an effective antibiotic stewardship program

Each session is eligible for one CEU for licensed Indiana administrators and licensed Indiana social workers. LeadingAge Indiana will award the Indiana-specific CEU for each individual who signs the CEU Sign-In form returned to LAIN after a session.
