Leading Age Indiana and Ivy Tech Community College Workforce Collaboration

Ivy Tech

Ivy Tech Community College is partnering with LeadingAge Indiana to promote the college as a preferred postsecondary training partner among its members to strengthen Indiana’s long-term care workforce through its Achieve Your Degree (AYD) program. This employer-supported education initiative helps employees pursue healthcare credentials with reduced upfront costs by offering tuition deferment and access to financial assistance resources—making career advancement more attainable for today’s workforce.

Through AYD, organizations can support staff as they earn stackable healthcare credentials, including CNA, QMA, LPN, and RN, while aligning education directly with workforce needs. Flexible scheduling, local campus access, and employer collaboration make it easier for employees to balance work and school, while customized cohorts ensure training is relevant and responsive to the realities of long-term care. In addition to AYD partnership expansion, local Ivy Tech partnerships (based on available campus resources) may also incorporate additional training opportunities, such as skills training and other alternative credentialing programs.

For LeadingAge Indiana members, this partnership offers a practical workforce solution—supporting recruitment, retention, and internal career pathways while improving care quality through a skilled, credentialed team. Members interested in learning more are encouraged to complete a brief survey.

Any LeadingAge Indiana members interested in connecting may find their local Ivy Tech representative (via the Ivy Tech webpage).
