Budget Update: Budget Passes both Chambers Now on to Governor

Last week the biennial budget moved from the Senate to conference committee, and this week, the final deliberations were made to reconcile the different versions. The Conference Committee issued its report late Tuesday night, sending the report to both Chambers for an up or down vote on Wednesday afternoon. Both the House and Senate approved the Conference Committee report on the proposed FY18-19 budget, HB49 (R. Smith), sending it on to the governor for his consideration -- and likely some vetoes.
