Coronavirus update calls next week: Two interviews with experts scheduled

As LeadingAge members continue to struggle with workforce issues exacerbated by the pandemic, it is often overlooked that some disparities within our communities can have an impact on those who work in long-term care and those who are served. On Monday, January 31, Dr. Tetyana Shippee (University of Minnesota) will join LeadingAge to dive into some insights on racial disparities and the long-term care workforce during COVID-19. Dr. Shippee will discuss her research and how members can address and eliminate inequities in care.

As the current Omicron surge evolves, there remains confusion as to where we are now and where we are headed with the pandemic. On Wednesday, February 2, pandemic expert Dr. Monica Gandhi (University of California San Francisco) will join LeadingAge once again to discuss the latest issues with COVID-19 and tackle member questions head-on. Both calls are at 3:30PM. To join LeadingAge Update Calls, register here.
