DeWine signs bill allowing nursing home visits in future pandemics

Last week, Governor DeWine signed HB120 (Richardson) into law, which would place certain requirements for compassionate visitation nursing homes in the event of future public health emergencies. The bill is a response to early-pandemic challenges experienced by families and caregivers. LeadingAge Ohio worked with the bill’s sponsor to ensure it would not conflict with federal guidance and would not impede appropriate infection control measures.
