The Chronicity of Sepsis

This two part series will highlight the chronicity that often accompanies the incidence of sepsis and provide considerations for effective care planning.


PRESENTED BY:
Hallie Prescott, MD, MSc
Assistant Professor, Department of Internal Medicine
Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine
University of Michigan


Dr. Prescott is a board-certified physician in pulmonary and critical care medicine with a particular interest in sepsis, acute respiratory distress syndrome, and pneumonia. Her research focuses on: 1) understanding the general mechanisms of long-term morbidity in sepsis survivors; 2) improving risk stratification in critical illness; and 3) developing the science for decision support interventions to guide clinical management
during and after critical illness. She has held numerous clinical and academic appointments in pulmonary and critical care medicine. Dr. Prescott has presented extensively on the topic of sepsis and has authored
and co-authored numerous articles pertaining to sepsis in peer-reviewed journals and publications
