Ohio Recognizes Elder Abuse Awareness Month, Highlights Resources to Help Older Ohioans Age Safely

June is Elder Abuse Awareness Month, and Ohio agencies are encouraging residents to learn the warning signs of abuse, exploitation, and neglect as the state's older adult population continues to grow.

To help Ohioans understand what elder abuse is, where it happens, and how to recognize it, ODJFS is continuing its Age Safely, Ohio campaign. AGE’s elder abuse webpage, aging.ohio.gov/elderabuse, has detailed elder abuse warning signs and insights into how older Ohioans can avoid scams.
