Ohio Senate Forum Highlights Long-Term Care Rights and Resources

State Sen. Catherine D. Ingram, D-Cincinnati, recently convened a community forum focused on helping Ohioans understand long-term care resources and the rights of people living in long-term care settings. Representatives from Pro Seniors, the Ohio Department of Health, the Office of the State Long-Term Care Ombudsman and the Ohio Senior Health Insurance Information Program discussed resident rights, Medicare counseling, advocacy services and options for addressing concerns about care.

For providers, the event highlights the importance of making information about resident rights and outside resources accessible to residents and families.
