Senate Aging Committee Examines AI-Enabled Fraud Targeting Older Adults

The U.S. Senate Special Committee on Aging examined the growing use of artificial intelligence in fraud schemes targeting older adults during a July 29 hearing focused on deepfakes, voice cloning, chatbots and other AI-enabled scams. Committee members also released a report on AI and older adults outlining both potential benefits and risks.
