Hudsonville Has Charm Community Master Plan

The Plan stands out for organizing planning around place-based systems rather than isolated topics, creating strong connections between urban design, land use, mobility, and parks and recreation. Rather than treating design as an add-on, the Plan uses it to guide decisions across multiple systems. This is most evident in the sub-area planning components, where areas such as Downtown Hudsonville and the Highland Drive corridor are used to test how building form, street design, land use mix, and public realm improvements work together. Almost 200 new infill housing units have been created. Jurors said, "Strong implementation focus, especially the zoning recommendations and early ordinance updates."
