Understanding claim defense
The Ohio system is set up to benefit the injured employee but employers are able to question the appropriateness of claims and benefits. We bring together one of our senior claims examiners and a seasoned hearing consultant for a discussion on claim defense. We will explore claim allowance, when you should question a claim, tools for a successful defense, the administrative hearing process, how to achieve a successful hearing outcome and why legal
representation may be necessary.

Navigating Ohio workers’ compensation
Whether you are new to managing your work-related injuries or have been doing it for a while, Ohio workers’ compensation can be a confusing process. This quick overview will help you identify many resources that are available to assist you. This session will also review the basics of coverage in Ohio and provide you with tips for managing your program. Additionally, we will highlight
the offerings of the BWC website and show you how to access and navigate the site.

Sedgwick’s client education program is intended for Sedgwick clients unless otherwise noted. These sessions qualify for 1-hour of the Ohio BWC 2-hour safety training requirement. To receive credit, attendees must log in and attend at least 75% of the session. Call-in attendees are not eligible for credit.
