The Attorney General's Neighborhood Renewal Division, formerly the Abandoned Housing Initiative, will use local case studies to demonstrate how the enforcement authority of the State Sanitary Code can turn abandoned residential properties around.
The Office of Local and Regional Health will also give an update on the Field Training Hubs and Registered Sanitarian/Certified Health Officer credentialing. Plus, learn about MHOA professional development support and opportunities, and network with other local public health professionals.
At the end of this training program, participants will be able to:
- Describe the enforcement authority of the State Sanitary Code to improve abandoned residential properties
- Describe the Field Training Hubs and how they operate
- Describe the RS/CHO credentialing process
- List professional development opportunities and support available through MHOA
