MHOA continues to work with partners to advance legislation important to local public health.

MHOA continues to work with partners to advance legislation important to local public health, such as SAPHE 2.0. The Boston Globe on Sept. 17 published an editorial in support of SAPHE 2.0. 

The SAPHE 2.0 Act will: 

• Establish Minimum Public Health Standards for Every Community
• Increase Capacity & Effectiveness by Incentivizing Shared Services
• Create a Uniform Data Collection & Reporting System
• Increase Equity Across Communities through Dedicated Sustainable State Funding

The Massachusetts Public Health Association has created talking points for reaching out to legislators to encourage action on this bill. We encourage you to be a voice for local public health!
