The Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP) plans to revise its 1990 Noise Policy to increase clarity and provide guidance regarding how MassDEP will evaluate compliance with its air quality noise regulations (310 CMR 7.10). MassDEP has published a Noise Policy Discussion Document and Public Comment Information on its website and is seeking additional comments by April 30, 2026.
