Applications Open: NACCHO’s Subject Matter Expert Advisory Workgroups
NACCHO's Subject Matter Expert Advisory Workgroups are a primary and recognized vehicle for identifying the opportunities and challenges facing local health departments (LHDs) and the field at large. NACCHO members from all areas of public health come together to explore the many facets of the field and help NACCHO make the best decisions in serving its members, and local public health. A list of NACCHO's Subject Matter Expert Advisory Workgroups, along with their descriptions and the time commitments required to serve, is available here

NACCHO invites LHD leaders and their staff to share their expertise and apply now to help inform and guide NACCHO's projects. The application period for participation in our 2026-2027 Subject Matter Expert Advisory Workgroups will close on April 30th.

Early-Bird Deadline Extended to April 17 — Virtual Fees Reduced!
There’s still time to save on public health’s can’t-miss events of 2026. Early bird registration prices for NACCHO360 and PHI*con has been extended through April 17, giving you one final opportunity to lock in discounted rates before prices increase. NACCHO360 brings together local, state, tribal, and territorial public health leaders from across the country for bold conversations, practical tools, and peer-driven solutions—while PHI*con convenes practitioners and innovators focused on informatics, data, and technology that power modern public health. NACCHO, in partnership with the National Academy for State Health Policy (NASHP) and with support from The John A. Hartford Foundation, is a hosting virtual listening session on Thursday, May 14 at 3 PM ET to learn how local health departments (LHDs) are supporting family caregivers of older adults and people with disabilities in their communities. We’re seeking LHD staff to share insights on current programming, alignment with the National Strategy to Support Family Caregivers, challenges, and resource needs related to supporting caregivers, older adults, and people with disabilities. Feedback will directly inform future tools, resources, and capacity-building efforts for local health departments.

To expand access and participation, virtual registration rates have been significantly reduced* for both NACCHO360 and PHI*con. Whether you’re joining in person or online, your registration includes high-impact sessions, thought-provoking discussions, and insights you can put into action immediately. Unsure of your funding source or travel approval? Attend virtually using our new updated conference platform or use the "BILL ME LATER" option when registering, allowing you to cancel without cost. *Applies to new registration only purchased after April 5 - no adjustments can be made to previously purchased registration. Questions?
