On Wednesday, June 17, from 2:00-3:30 pm, the Mosaic Municipal Training & Technical Assistance program is hosting a virtual webinar on “Centering People with Lived and Living Experience in Opioid Abatement Decision-Making.” The session will focus on practical, real-world strategies to ensure that people with lived and living experience are not only included but also actively help guide the allocation of opioid abatement resources. A recording will be available to all registrants following the event.

This webinar may be especially helpful for municipal leaders, public safety partners, public health staff, and others involved in opioid abatement planning. Speakers will share strategies for reducing barriers to participation, building trust, and developing partnerships that help ensure opioid abatement funds are informed by the people and communities most directly impacted.

Presenters include Representative David LeBoeuf (17th Worcester District); Darcy Beall, Public Health Nurse, and Taryn Angel, Community Wellness and Inspection Specialist, Town of Chelmsford Health Department; Sergeant David E. Burns, Town of Palmer; and Taylor McDonough, Director of Prevention, City of Northampton Department of Health and Human Services, and Kyle Harrington, Harm Reduction Training & Drug Checking Manager, Tapestry Health.
