New Resources Available to Help Navigate New CPT Codes in 2024
The 2024 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule final rule, created new CPT codes to report on activities related to addressing social determinants of health (SDOH), care navigation, and visit complexity. The American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) has developed several resources to help members use on these new codes appropriately.
The new resources are:
- A comparison guide of care management services and proposed SDOH codes – the guide valuates the similarities and differences between the Care Management CPT code family and the new Community Health Integration, Principal Illness Navigation, and SDOH Risk Assessment codes
- A one-page guide to the new evaluation and management add-on code, G2211, for medical complexity
