The Maryland State Pest Control Association closed out another successful year with its Annual Dinner and Board Meeting on November 19 at Pinstripes in North Bethesda. Nineteen members gathered for an evening that blended meaningful association business with fun, fellowship, and celebration of the momentum carrying MSPCA into 2026.
The night began with an informal Happy Hour and a lively game of bocce, generously sponsored by Richard Spigler, BCE, of BASF. A little friendly competition went a long way in breaking the ice, sparking laughter, and setting a relaxed, welcoming tone for the evening.
Breaking bread together—a hallmark of strong relationship building—was a highlight of the evening. Members enjoyed shared appetizers and a delicious dinner featuring steak, salmon, or chicken pasta, followed by warm fall-inspired desserts that perfectly capped off the meal.
Following dinner, the MSPCA Board held a brief business meeting that included two important decisions. First, at the recommendation of staff and to take advantage of reduced credit card processing fees, the Board voted to have NPMA lead the renewal and billing process for MSPCA beginning with the May 2026 billing cycle. Second, elections were held, and Directors Kaliksa Gooch and Joleen Mathews were elected to continue serving another term on the MSPCA Board.
MSPCA was also pleased to welcome a special guest, Chanel Raysor, Associate Director of Membership at NPMA. Chanel has been assigned as the NPMA staff liaison to MSPCA, strengthening the partnership between the organizations and providing the Board and members with a direct point of contact for NPMA-related matters.
With great food, great company, and a shared sense of accomplishment, the 2025 Annual Dinner was a fitting way to celebrate the year’s successes. Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the evening memorable—we look forward to building on this energy in the year ahead.
