By now, everyone knows medical marijuana has arrived in Ohio. But, what does this really mean? Some might know that your HR policy can prohibit its use in the workplace, but the real question is “Can you lease it”? Can you lease or sell your retail space to a dispensary or your warehouse to a cultivator or processor? On a daily basis, owners and developers are asking about risks and exposures on a federal level. What if your project is in Hilliard or Powell? Chances are good you will not receive an occupancy permit there. And, if you do have a tenant in the industry, what about the rent payment? Are you prepared to accept cash?
