For more information, visit www.TEGNA.com. WCNC-TV, the TEGNA-owned NBC affiliate in Charlotte, NC, is looking to add a creative and energetic Sports Anchor & MSJ to our team. This person must have the knowledge and passion to cover all sports important in North Carolina, from the Tar Heels to High School, from professional to minor league – we’ve got it all, at every level: baseball, football, basketball, soccer, and hockey. We’re seeking an independent, innovative storyteller who can go beyond play-by-play and innovate local sports for a new generation with an emphasis on character-driven sports storytelling. The ideal candidate has a commitment to being a local sports expert on all things North Carolina; not only bringing our audience the latest on what’s happening in coaching and roster changes, but also the stories behind the sports in North Carolina. The right person for this job goes beyond the highlights of games and builds sportscasts with moments and great storytelling. You must be passionate about all things sports including various stories, perspectives, and points of view. The right candidate for this position will be creative enough to produce shows at a high level, while also presenting the information in an engaging and creative way. Responsibilities:
