Details:
WCNC-TV is hiring an IT Specialist primarily needed to support the IT helpdesk which includes the support of all desktop systems, related peripherals and end users. The successful candidate will also perform other IT related duties as assigned (i.e. - assist with server systems, run and terminate Ethernet cables, phone systems adds/removes/changes, etc.).
In this role, you will:
- Maintain desktop computers systems, computer network cabling systems and desktop software.
- Maintain network and desktop printers as well as supervise printer maintenance. Maintain toner stock.
- Maintain remote internet connected cameras.
- Maintain good communication/relationship with external vendors.
- Perform routine computer maintenance procedures including keeping hardware/software up to date,
optimized for performance and properly configured.
- Setup, configure and maintain user accounts, insure system security and user privacy.
- Diagnose equipment problems and perform preventative and corrective maintenance.
- Execute technical projects with minimum supervision.
- Assist users with day to day computer and networking issues.
- Communicate any major changes, system issues or trending issues to IT Manager.
- Assist with and perform server, Internet, intranet, WAN, router, weather and broadcast
equipment maintenance as assigned by supervisor.
- Stay up to date with currently used technologies.
