WCNC-TV in Charlotte, NC has an exciting opportunity in the Sales department
for an Account Manager. The Account Manager will manage the day-to-day responsibilities of key accounts with team members. Provide an optimal customer experience by having a deep understanding of the company’s multimedia solutions.
Responsibilities
Daily
interaction with existing agency and direct client business; this
responsibility includes maintenance of client schedules on television and
online in addition to implementation of special projects and promotions. Attend sales calls, if
needed.
· Works in tandem with AE, Customer Insights Manager, Research Director, and Creative Services to develop multimedia (TV/Digital) recommendations to prospective clients.
· Attends sales meetings and training to obtain sales, product and process information, and to keep abreast of company products and services in order to articulate to client, when appropriate.
· Partners with designated Account Executives in the development of new/incremental revenue.
· Self-motivation and willingness to work as a team player are essential attributes. Creativity, flexibility, and ability to change with our industry are also keys to success.
· Able to make decisions and solve problems independently in an effort to support the customer.
· Assists designated Account Executives with maintenance of contracts, generating avails, traffic, make-goods, collections and overall customer (internal/external) service.
· Regular tracking and monitor client audience delivery (via Nielsen), digital analytics, and goal metrics.
· Coordinates with sales assistant to set up new customer accounts, contracts, order entry, and revisions. Checks for accuracy.

Requirements:
· Minimum two years of account engagement in a professional, fast paced sales environment.
· Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
· Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects effectively under deadline pressure.
· Ability to effectively solve problems.

· Position requires strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong organization and time management.
· Knowledge of banner sales and design, mobile advertising, SEO, SEM and social media platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and YouTube highly preferred.
· Proficient in Photoshop, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
