Mark Pope, NCDA's Eminent Career Award winner and former President, is now the "Thomas Jefferson Professor" at the University of Missouri. On April 18, 2018, Dr Pope was surprised to be given the Thomas Jefferson Award - the highest award in the whole UM System. Dr. Pope is a Curators’ Distinguished Professor in the College Education.
The UM System President’s Awards are presented annually to faculty members who have made exceptional contributions in advancing the mission of the university and the broader community. UM will formally recognize Pope and other honorees during an awards celebration to be held in June. Dr. Pope will then join the NCDA annual Global Conference in progress in Phoenix.
