Dear Members,
This is a friendly reminder to register for the NCPLA Annual Meeting, taking place October 30–31, 2025 at the Marriott City Center in Raleigh.
We’re excited to bring back the Lobster Awards Dinner on Thursday evening, along with a strong program of panels, networking, and CLE opportunities. Please register by October 21st to secure your spot.

Bernice Russell-Bond, State Chief Information Security Officer, will give an update on the state’s cybersecurity policy and landscape.
Chris Collins, IT Director, Ward and Smith, will discuss how phishing and spoofing scams target professionals and share best practices to keep your firm safe online.

An update from the NC Secretary of State’s Lobbying Compliance Division with Deputy Secretary J. Brooke Schmidly and Lobbying Compliance Division Director Leo John.
11:00 – 12:00 PM | NC Ethics Commission
An update on lobbying ethics from the staff of the NC Ethics Commission, including Executive Director Kathleen Edwards, Jameson Marks (Counsel, Investigations), and David Smith (Counsel, Education).

DUES RENEWAL
Invoices were sent on October 1. NCPLA dues run November through October and are due by November 30, 2025. Payments made by January 31, 2026, will be considered current and included in the 2026 online directory.

Firm payments: Contact Chantel if your firm would like a group invoice. 
- 
Account assistance: Chantel can reset passwords, update logins, or resend invoices. 
- 
Profile updates: Please review your online member profile. Each member is responsible for keeping contact details, specialties, and client info current. 
⚠️ Do not complete a new membership application—renew through your invoice. Invoices are also uploaded to your member account, where you may pay online or print and mail with a check. (If paying by check, include your invoice number.)
