74th Annual Pest Control Technician's School Opens in Durham

More than 1,000 pest management professionals expected at NCPMA’s largest conference

The North Carolina Pest Management Association (NCPMA) kicked off three days of training and education during today’s Opening Session of the 74th Annual Pest Control Technician’s School. The conference, which attracted more than 1,000 attendees, is one of the largest pest management gatherings in the country.

Registration is open through Jan. 25.

“The PCT School is not only a conference where pest professionals gain valuable training techniques, but it’s a tradition for the pest management industry in North Carolina and a chance for us to unite people from across the state under one roof for unparalleled training opportunities,” said Dylan Morrison, NCPMA President.

The 2024 PCT School opening session included a keynote address by Dennis Jenkins of ABC Home and Commercial Services (pictured right), presentations of NCPMA’s annual awards and the awarding of a scholarship to a North Carolina State University entomology student.

“We are excited to kick off this 74th annual conference in Durham and unveil months of hard work by so many of our members and association leadership. This year’s School will feature special sessions just for business managers as well as courses from some of the best pest professionals in the country,” said John Adkins, Chair of the PCT School Committee.

The 2024 PCT School offers four days of pest management continuing education, business sessions designed for managers and owners, hands-on training courses and more featuring nationally known speakers. It started Jan. 22 and continues through Jan. 25.
