We have a renter that has signed an agreement that if they are not caught up in payment by a certain date, that they will turn over all contents in their unit. Is this legal and binding?
So long as they sign an addendum to such a clause. We have them sign a Letter of Abandonment. It basically gives up their rights to the unit for us given up our rights to go after them. It seems to work well.
